Servicing through specialists

  1. Hi all,

So my 250 is out of warranty now and shortly in need of a routine service. I would rather get it serviced by a specialist I trust rather than Renault, but worried that come sale time (likely in 2 years) I will have hassle if it's not got full Renault history. With my last car (E46 M3) I stuck with BMW for that reason, but do you guys think it's not such a big deal with a 250 or should I do the same and get Renault to do it?

    Cheers
    Jon

Most people buying Renault Sports would appreciate the fact it's got a specialist history rather than Renault!

  3. Most will know the dealers are shite tbh (or most of them) it wouldn't worry me. I used mark black on here so check him out

  4. lookers renault have fixed price servicing and although they are about 20 quid over specialist, they are still worth it imo.

  5. I'd be more inclined to buy one without Main Dealer history tbh. When I had my first Renault Sport I used a main dealer and they were shite. Used the same independant specialist now for the last 10 years.

  6. Mark Black is the ONLY mechanic I'll let touch my car. He is the best mechanic I've dealt with since I started driving.

  7. Cool, thanks for the replies  Fred at BTM is the man for me then!!

hes the only person that touches my RS's and hes worth it. People drive to him from France and Scotland.

Rebuilt my whole engine overnight once, thats one to tell the kids!

  9. Specialist, In México we have two excelent mechanics, dealers sucks on service

  10. The fact a car has been serviced at
A main dealer means naff all to me if I was buying it, I'd prefer specialist history,.
