Check ESP warning

  1. Just ran over a metal road sign I didn't seen in the fog and the spanner and check ESP came on immediately. The car drives fine and the warnings went out after restarting the ignition. No loss of air.

Anybody any clue what could cause this to happen immediately? I think I went over the sign with both off-side wheels but not the near side. Would this cause it?

  2. Probably caused the wheels to spin at different speeds slightly, similar to what happens on the rollers?

  3. Could try pulling the battery, see if it goes away, otherwise get it plugged into a fault reader

  4. It's stayed off and drives fine so hopefully no actual damage. 1st MOT soon so....
