Knockhill 11th April

Discussion in 'Track Days & Track Driving' started by evojkp, Apr 3, 2018.

  1. Anyone interested in some tracktime next wednesday night? The Clio guys had a night booked for tomorrow night, but due to the amount of snow thats been dumped its been put off for a week, but not everyone can make it so there are spaces available.

CSOC nights are always fun. Driving standards are very good and a good bunch of petrolheads to spend time on track with.

5-8pm, £120 and £10 for additional driver, pax's are free.

  2. Working that night I'm afraid, but I'm going to the track night tomorrow anyway. Where does one find out about these CSOC events? Is it for members only, and can Megane drivers join?

  3. Need to join the csoc Scotland Facebook group for the events. They have another 3-4 this year open to folks. Megs are more than welcome.

What Trackday is on tomorrow? Time? I may take a jaunt up for an hour or so with the camera.

Yeah i was up there yesterday in my loaner 197, I be surprised if SMRC will be on this weekend tbf, Snow has mostly cleared from the track but all the run off is still covered and looks like their is ice under it as well

  7. The way she described it I think you’re right. Gutted as the chance of two trackdays and nothing happened. I’m off on holiday this weekend so may have to settle for some Icelandic buggy fun instead.

Haha im upto 3 missed days now, Granted two were off due to snow which im kinda glad, As id be even more frustrated

  9. Cancelled with three hours notice. That's my track day insurance down the drain then :rage:

  10. Give them a call and explain. I’m sure knockhill will give an email if needed. You may be able to have it credited for another time. Don’t ask-don’t get !!

  11. I called but was told nobody was there to help. I sent an email instead and hopefully it will work out.

  12. Oh my blessed aunt, I will never speak ill of insurance companies again. Emailed back within 30 minutes to say they will give me a refund or change the date, minus an admin charge!

  13. Good stuff !!

I'm doing the full day on the 30th if anyone else is off or fancies it. Should have the car back....

  16. Might do. Will have to see how the finances are looking.

  17. What do you lot usually bring to a track day? Are there garages in use on Knockhill trackdays or do people just leave kit lying around?

Sometimes the garages are open but they aint that great tbh, Most just use the paddock and leave stuff lying around.

I normally take a fair bit up with me, Track wheels, Jack, Socket set, Impact gun, tyre gauge, brakes bar, torque wrench, Spare fluids/pads and probably a few other buts but that may be a bit excessive for you lol.

Helmet, Tyre pressure gauge, spare oil to top uo if needed and a torque wrench would be my main ones to take and should see you ok

  19. Jeeeesus. Takes me about an hour to change wheels over haha so I'm just going to drive over on my track wheels I think. Everything else I think I got covered though. Cheers for the advice.

  20. Just park next to Jamie and borrow all his stuff....haha

lightweight modern trolley jack and impact gun make the wheel changes less of a chore

Haha more than welcome to but we ain't on the same days

  22. Another track day being missed I would guess. Hit a deer earlier tonight and damaged the bumper and lights. Car is overheating when stationary so I guess the fan is buggered too.
