R26 Door Trim/Badge

  1. Anyone know where I can get a pair of these door badges in red/black (seen on a car on ebay)

  2. Can you do spray your existing bullets? Sprayed mine black but would like to paint the logo a different colour. Thought about using a vinyl Renault Sport sticker as is or as a mask for painting. Only black/red ones I have seen for sale were carbon, but they need sticking on as they don't have the clips on the back to fit to the side rubbing strip.

  3. Do they just clip off?.

  4. You can just pull them off but the clips on mine were pretty strong so you can remove the grommet inside the door and fixing (can't remember if it's a clip or bolt etc.) and slide the whole rubbing strip backwards and off. You can then carefully remove the bullet from the strip off the car.

  6. thinking I might just try and get them off and paint them then and see first, just fancied de-chroming the car

  7. £35 is alot considering you could just paint them

  8. Spoke to the ebay seller. He’s going to do a few more batches of these with a variety of different coloured font (red, etc) on carbon. They’re about £50 though. It’s all relative really. Painting yourself is going to be the cheapest option. If you took them to a paint shop it would be £30’ish if they were prepared to do it.

I’ll probably give the carbon ones a bash, just to try something different. Hopefully they last and the graphics are lacquered.

Done mine myself. Hardest part was smoothing down the renaultsport part 679916c989e4d6a8e6fcdd4ad7a0e6c9.jpg

buy a second hand set off ebay and have a go yourself, dont rush it as thats when things go wrong

  13. Definately wouldn’t do as good a job as you have.

Don’t come up much on ebay.

A lot of ebay competition now due to this thread no doubt, haha

Seems like a lot of effort/cost for something no-one ever thinks about!
