250 Wheels

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by jack250, Feb 24, 2017.

  1. Does running wheels with a smaller offset than standard have an effect on the handling? I.e. More stable? Cause understeer? Less mobile? Etc

    Cheers

  2. I should think it will effect you clearing the brake calipers, and not sure why you would want to go down anyway

  3. Smaller meaning the wheels stick out more. From the OE @65 to say 45

Not with a lower offset it won't Mikey....

Depends how low you got they are quite sensitive to offsets as they effect the Scrub radius and increase understeer. I'd be sticking as close to oem spec as possible

  5. Is the difference between the 65-45 effectively like having 20mm spacers?

Essentially yes, width plays a part as well on clearance though
