  1. Hi.
Can anyone recommend anywhere atound the leeds/west yorkshire area for the mid box chop?
Spoke to Tony Banks who is generally the go to exhaust guy around here but said he didnt do them as the electrics could be a nighmare....
I wasnt aware but anyway i need someone else now.
    Ta

  2. What electrics? :/ it's a piece of pipe!

  3. Maybe the bloke thinks it will trigger the EML light or something

  4. Ye the thing is hes a well renowed custom exhaust place so i cant imagine why je wouldnt want to do it unless its just to little work for him and not worth the time...

  5. I think he/you are getting the de-cat and silencer removal mixed up.

  6. Well, that well renowned that he comes up with such a stupid excuse?

A mid box chop will never (!) cause an electrical issue. Quite simply as there is no sensoric information after it. Look for a new place. Easiest job in the world.

I know its an awful excuse, was just looking for somewhere else..

  8. Just buy the kit off eBay for £45 and do it yourself. Takes 15 minutes.

  9. Is it not a weld in replacement part?

  10. It can be weld in, but it's quicker and easier to cut out the silencer and clamp in a straight section of pipe - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361853397483

  12. Hi - I'd recommend Simon who runs http://www.schubandautoworks.com - his work is quality and he built my custom Turbo Back system. His welding is a work of art! He's based in Anston near Sheffield so shouldn't be too far from where you are.
