What's best for GW paint protection at reasonable cost?

A good sealant on top of AG SRP, something like Jet Seal from the Chemical Guys. Light paintwork always looks better with a good sealant, wax looks better on dark coloured paint.

 

Auto finess tough coat is a easy to use sealant, looks good on white, will last 4 - 6 months on a daily driver, plus you can put their wax on top of it if you want.

 

AG products are ok but I find the HD wax doesn't last as long as auto finesse products. I've been using AF triple, tough coat and illusion wax. They give a much better finish and last longer.

 

I was using the werkstatt kit for awhile but im now on Carpro Hydr02 sealant with Sonax brilliant shine detailer as my qd top up.

 

Really? i've found HD wax to be great for durability, at least 5 months

 

Swissvax Glacia was developed for white paint.

 

Gtechniq C2v3 looks superb on white cars, is a complete piece of p*ss to apply, lasts for months and a 500ml bottle is only £20 which will do 10 cars.

Have a look on Detailing World and see how many people are rating it, I've been using it on my wife white DS3 this year and my LY R26 and it's fantastic. I can't see me ever waxing a car again.

Winter protection done, gave Zanios Z2 with the ZFX kit a go the other weekand, pleased with the out come. Easy enough to apply 3 coats of it in a day and you can layer all their products on top of each other. Only regret no having some zaino Z-CS to put on as a final coat, from what i'm told thought this can be done at a later date. As always the hard part is the clean & prep.

I use Chemical guys Black light sealant, Gives my GW 250 a really nice deep shine

 

Must admit i do like Z8, on its own is good but best over Z2 & Z6. Also looks good on my black gloss wheels:

 

How do you use Black light? Do you just prep the car and then pit it on, or do ypu put something on after it? Keep seeing it but chemical guys have so many products i never know whats what.

 

Yep after the cars polished i just apply it and after 15 mins buff it off. That'll last about 2-3 months, I just top it up every so often.

that z8 stuff just makes the paint pop like mad!
