Any of you had experience with used car warranty? I'm expecting my gearbox to go soon so wondered if it would be worth getting Click4Warranty, you get a 3 year cover for about £550. A lot less than a gearbox and it covers anything else that goes wrong too.

You mean your wanting to commit fraud?

Is it fraud? The gearbox still works as of now and is only noisy. Still mechanically working fine. I just know it's going to fail at some point, but then that's the same with every car. You know stuff like gearbox is going to fail at some point so you get warranty.

  4. Would have a good read of the small print to see exactly what is covered and what isn't

Yeah, it's like 26 pages so I'm going to through it all. Just hoped someone here would have experience of them.

If any of you have any suggestions of places to get the box refurbed that would be handy. Gota quote from K-Tec of £2k and 1.2k+VAT from a local gearbox specialist. Jamie said he got quoted 6/700 for his.

It is, the car currently has issues and your wanting to take a warranty out and pretend it's in full working order.

I'd be careful of posting this sort of stuff on a public forum, just a friendly warning.

Gearbox place up here was around 400 for new bearings. Obviously that's with the box already removed.

At those quotes you'd be better off buying another box and sticking it in
