Uprated rear pads

  1. I've added new front discs and rc5+ pads and the stopping power is amazing from doing so.

Im wondering if anyone has fitted uprated rears with positive results?
at the moment I'm on the originals and honking of matching the fronts.

    Any thoughts?

  2. I run RC6 up front in the summer and EBC yellow stuff in the rear. No complaints but I might change to RC5+ rears when they're done.

  3. Did you uprate the rears at the same time as the fronts.
My braking is fantastic but feels somewhat unbalanced. Maybe it's lack of mileage on the fronts and they need more time to bed but it does feel like the rear is kinda pushing on when it shouldn't be.
It's a awkward feeling to explain.

  4. I have xp8s on the front..had originals in the rear..but they would groan when pushed hard.
Put on yellowstuff, and to be honest, they are not much better..still groan with a few high speed stops.

Didn't want anything to aggressive on the rear,as the braking balance still feels fine.

  5. Feels like you're being pushed from behind sort of? Mine feels practically the same at the rear comparing the EBC to the OE pads, I just wanted something that was a bit harder wearing on the rear because the OE pads didn't last long at all, under heavy braking the rear is practically off the ground it's so light.

  6. Pretty much feels that way yes.
not sure whether to match the front and rears or put a thing like ds2500 on the rear.

  7. If you're thinking about DS2500 I would stick with the standard pads because the 2500 are garbage

I ran xp10/rs29s and a couple other aggressive spec compounds up front with yellows on the rear and now xp8s with RC5+s on the rear and it is far better with the CL pads on the back. Yellows are alright if your running lower spec pads but as soon as you stick some aggressive compounds ones in the front they really can't cope.
