Unicorn developments

Right guys.


I don't want this to cause masses of conflict etc as there is already a lot of opinions on this topic as it is.


Firstly I am not looking to put down any of the mentioned people/companies as this is not my aim.


When it comes to the meganes and mapping there is only one company that springs to mind as you see the name everywhere. And that is obviously Rstuning. When I first joined the Megane trail when I got my megane late last year, that was the only name I saw everywhere so I presumed this was the only option in terms of mapping.


Few months down the line and many hundreds spent on getting my megane how I wanted it to be (with the help and guidance of 2 very knowledgeable fellas Gary Okeefe and Lee Boardman, massive thanks to two top guys!) I was then ready for a map. A few people mentioned a certain place called Unicorn developments in Stockport. A quick Google search of that name and you will find all you need to know about how impressed people are with the work of Rick at Unicorn and just how passionate he is about cars and software development. I was very skeptical to go against the grain and move away from rs tuning and try something else. But if you never try you will never know.

Rick assured me he would not lay a finger on the car until the both of us are 100% satisfied and only then will he proceed with the work. On the 10th sept I was greeted by Rick who was a top and very knowledgeable bloke. He did a few data logs on the car and then proceeded to map the car. After a few hours and many tweeks later and it was job done. The Megane made a very impressive and smooth 283bhp and 311lbft

The journey home was like driving a completely different car to which i set off in earlier that day.


The aim of this is hopefully to shine some light on mapping possibilities for people who are yet to have their meganes mapped and are looking more tailored service that is also considerably less expensive than most other megane tuning companies.


I was very satisfied with Unicorn developments work and would definitely recommend his work regardless of the car.
