R26 Suspension level sensor?

  1. Hi all I was looking under my R26 last night while i was flushing the coolant out and replacing the coolant. I noticed above the left hand front lower arm there was a little electrical sensor box with an arm coming out of it looled just like a suspension level sensor like they have or Range Rovers with air suspension. Anyone have any idea what it is the thing is the arm on my car is not connected to the ball on the lowet arm at all should it be?

  2. Sounds like the sensor for the self levelling headlights.

  3. Ah yes i think you are correct i did a search on Google for headlamp level sensor that looks like the part. So that should be connected to the lower arm then really with a linkage? Thanks for the quick reply

  4. yes..should be a small plastic lever, with a ball and socket joint connection on the arm.
You have one at the rear of the car as well.
