Detailed Sunnylunn's car over the last week, this was the best level detail I offer so it's quite indepth. To start with, not washed since late september but I did say don't bother as I know it needed a thorough claying etc: Car sprayed with citrus pre wash, wheels with Birtemax Ironmax: Trims out: All washed, alot of tar was still present: All the gaps etc cleaned with Birtemax Grime out and valetpro brush: Tarids applied and working it's magic: Long handled brush to get underneath:
Then onto claying, tried out the Migliore Clay towel very impressed, then dried off: Rolled into the garage, taped up and paint measured: Took some bits off the car to help get better correction and access then onto the test panel: In the end I actually settled on a yellow lake country pad with menzerna pf2400 via the flex 3401, onto the correction pictures:
This left a nice finish: Previous touchups by stevie wonder made better: Even the undersides got polished: Second step was then Menzerna 4500 via black 3m pads on the rupes machines: Leaving: Then panel wiped and onto the Modesta primer, this gives a candy type effect to the paint and actually lasts a year just on it's own:
The primer has to be left a minimum of 3 hours before any other product is placed on top so onto some other bits: Onto the Modesta BC-05, this isn't an easy product to apply and you go through a mountain of microfibers removing it which is like syrup, the blue applicator was at the end of application, the yellow one is from a previous detail, shows how it sets:
Engine was tidied up: Wheels off to dress the arches and modesta the calipers, wheels are trackday ones so were only can coated, the other set have just been refurbished so will be coated with modesta too: Onto the interior, cleaned and then Gtechniq fabric guard applied:
This is a great device for getting some of the trapped dirt out of the fabric in these cars also helps remove some of the loose fabric: Then onto the Gtechniq Exo, this is put on to help the modesta set and not waterspot: Back to the inside, carbon backs of the seats were sealed with Britemax extreme elements: Trims with Sonax gummipfleger I then wanted to clear all the brakes off and make sure everything was ok so took it on a little run In reality the dials were cleaned: Mirrors cleaned and dressed:
Back in awaiting collection, I also noticed some noisy fans so took the pollen filter out and cleared that: Thanks for reading.
the photos don't do it justice, its really better than new, Eds OCD has no limits, i didnt know you had cleaned inside the mirrors you nutcase : ). i keep taking a sneak peek at it, Jackie thinks i'm sad ( and you as well) thanks again Ed, I'm well pleased with it.
In all seriousness, that's what you call 'a detail' Super levels cleanliness. Wouldn't mind a pm with the price of this package at all.
Another outstanding result ed, your really are a master at this, love looking at your work, just makes me want mine doing even more!!! Fantastic mate. Love that car 2. I can dream!!! Haha. Top work
Simply stunning , well done Ed I've no idea what all that stuff you've put on or what it does but it looks brilliant mate, shame your not closer as it's well worth £80 to get done.
Wow wow wow that is just an incredible amount of effort, you have some serious skills there fella and the commitment to customers is unreal, sunnylunn you must be one very happy chappy
Cheers Steve lots of lotions and potions but the baseline is if looked after (which he WILL) he won't need to do anything but wash it to keep it looking like that for atleast 5 years. Did you miss the 0 off mate?
I'm sure if I took a good guess I'd get the correct cost Ed, I'm sure you've looked after Martin as well as he's a mate, worth every penny mate, well done some serious dedication there mate , brilliant.
bit upset with the Stevie wonder comment Ed  those touch ups looked good from 20 meters. The best looking R will be given the care it deserves come cleaning time.
Ed you should make him clean out his garage now, it would be parked up in my garage with its cover on if I'd just had that done, not sat out in the rain
Haha, my garage is a tip, i'm looking at ways to get it in the house, you can give me a hand Saturday Ed.
Awesome mate that really is an epic detail. Look forward to seeing this in the flesh in a few weeks Martin! It still amazes me how much shine he achieves on white cars, I love mine
Thanks mate, I think you and Martin will be quicker at brands as you both have these slippery coatings on.
