Hi I've recently purchased an R26 and I've recently noticed a few things. 1. Occasionally the exhaust seems to pop while idling normally after a harder drive it'll pop every 5-10 seconds. 2. On idle the car doesn't idle perfectly flat, the needle doesn't move but the revs rise and fall, barely noticeable but it definitely changes. These are all when the car is warm! Any help guys?
More than likely the injectors need cleaning. Popping from the exhaust is usually a sign of dirty injectors.
It'll either be injectors, or plugs/coil pack(s). Although I have replaced all of them and although idles perfectly it still over fuels slightly, which I think is a safety margin from renault to account for different fuels.
