Hello guys! Here's my Jaune Sport 250 Megane RS and I absolutely love it. I'm not planning to make significant changes although we never know, there some things I'd like: - Thicker/Luxurious license plates - Trackday wheels and tires The car has been fitted with the 19" STEEV rims. Love them. Recaro seats, obviously, Satnav and yellow brakes, perhaps someone can tell me more about them? Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, so far so good! The car is imported from Germany, now driving in the Netherlands. No single dent or scratch on the car! Previous owner decided to make the Renault and RS badge black himself, got to remove that asap. Also got to figure out the real HP once there's a cheap chance. And yes, I'm going to clean it this weekend. Weather has been terrible here last weeks. Hi, the car looks great. What's with the evil shortened parking bays though? I swear all multi story car parks are designed by people that hate cars! If it's not had it done already I would highly recommend getting it remapped.
Thanks guys! The car is truly amazing! So fast and such a good sound in Sport mode. I'm going to clean the car this weekend. Found this: Quite a lot of damage on the yellow calliper. Is there a touch / paint set in this color? As we all know the CUP version has red callipers and standard it had grey callipers fitted. So how did I end up with yellow?
love the car with the yellow on yellow calipers done it with my old car also cant go wrong with that style btw figuring out the real HP if you talk with a "chip tuning" service that has a rolling road and you ask very nicely i think they can do it around or under 50 euro's , you have to remember they have to put the car on and strap it down , so they have to invest a bit of time in you and for some time isn't free also how are you liking the Michelin tires dry/wet ?
Had some contact and cheapest way is 85 euro now. Never gonna happen. There's gonna be some chip tuning day somewhere and will go then. It's hard to judge the Michelins. Grip in the dry is excellent and I'm thinking I'm nowhere to the limit in the wet (but who's got the guts to try out?) Good thing is the price. This stops you from smoking them
First: How can I change the titel? The color is Jaune Sport nog Jaune Sirius. Second: I've winter prepped my car. I normally wash my car in sunny conditions but these models needs a little extra. There some little spots on the paint here and there. About to fix them all in spring '16. - Washed by hand with Poorboys Slick and Suds shampoo. - Clayed some parts which had spots of dirt. - Cleaned little vents, holes and tiny places with Poorboys APC. - Blackhole glaze. Not sure if this fits the color best. - Waxed Collinite with Super Doublecoat. Best wax for winter in my eyes. Long durably so I won't have to wax again in this weather and nice beading. - Tires in AutoGlym Instand Tire Dressing. - Wheels and brake callipers in Poorboys Wheel Sealant. - Plastic parts in AutoFinesse Revive I might try Gyeon Q2 Wetcoat soon. This product has excellent water resistant and might help the wax durably. The result, a winter ready Megane RS: Need to clay the rims too as there's still some dirt on the outer ring.
Even though we cannot speak of a winter season yet, I'm ready Nice set of Renault Megane RS rims with Michelin Alpin tires. Just need to clean them and apply a good layer of Poorboys Wheelsealant.
Fitted the winter tires today. Very happy with the silver wheels on the yellow car Have to do something about the smoked rear lights now. Wheels are polished with Monello Finale to give them the shine, double-coated Wheelsealant and sprayed them with Aquafobia which makes them very water-resistant. I think I'm safe for winter now
It's a foil but I'm not sure if I want to stick with it. Bought the car with the smoked taillights. Go and get one It won't let you down I'm sure.
Somebody parked her bike next to my car and it fell ... hit the light only! No other scratch (luckily) ..
Swedish girl so will be funny with insurance Anyway a new light is fitted ... will get the right side original as well.
And it's done! Much better in my eyes, happy with the result Looks like winter has finally arrived here in the Netherlands ... just frost so far and now snow. Have to be patient
Perfect weather today to clean my car. Radio on, enjoying the sun and some photos after. Having lots of tar spots on the rear .. need to clay it during spring, have to do the whole car during spring actually. For now this is just it Loving the original tail lights. Much better in my eyes that the smoked I had earlier.
Cold (around 4 degrees) but very sunny weather, ideal to wash the car. Car wasn't really dirty but needed a new layer of wax. Washed the whole car firstly with good result: Happy with the result. Saw another Megane, only slightly older and little less powerful I think The paint is in good condition for a 5 year old car. Nearly no swirls and scratches at all: Couldn't give too much attention to the wheels, pretty cold and they looked good anyway. Need to buy new wheel nuts though: Dry and admire the yellow paint, love this color: Applied a new layer of wax. I'm using Collignite 476S. A hard wax, easy to use and easy to buff out. Nice beading and good protection for about 2 months. So I'm safe to go until spring arrives. Got no photo's of the end result. It was the end of the day. I've just got this for an impression:
It's been a good road trip last few weeks Car has done over 3500 km on a little less than 350 liter of petrol. Passed Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland, more info @ instagram
Clean it everywhere, don't leave anything undone. Missing some bits in the engine compartment, if anyone can help out please. - Left water glider's missing - Battery cover / coolant (hose?)
Nice drive around the Netherlands last weekend. Made some photos. Some work on the car later, new license plate after it's bend now and the timing belt will be done. So we're 110% ready for the Belgian GP this weekend Max Verstappen and a little little bit Renault (if they do good finally)
They only have the one, I've spoken to Renault about it as mine is the same. Got the fuse box on that side that's why. [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm still searching for the battery cover. I wont need the water glider in this weather. The better I can use the battery cover to cool it just a bit more.
Back from Spa ... dear Kevin Magnussen. I'm a little afraid of driving a yellow RenaultSport car quickly now. It was HOT but we were in the shades and had plenty of water.
