Hey guys, driving to work last night and hit a bloody pot hole. Heard a thud and it started pulling to the left so thought id blown the tyre. When I got to work I looked and tyre was ok but car had dropped. Just had it looked at and the springs have snapped on the front and one of the struts are broken. Unfortunately for different reasons im not flush so cant afford to go down the cooksport route but seen a few other options and need the car back on the road asap. H&R are doing a spring kit for £158 but not heard much about them so not sure if they are any good. Anybody had these before and if so are they any good? Many thanks.
Got impatient mate, so ordered Eibach's yesterday. Had them on my last car so have an idea of what they are like. Seen a few reviews on here and elsewhere and most opt for the Eibach's or Cooksports and heard the cooksports can sit quite low. Don't want it too low as where I live the speed bumps are ridiculous. Just want it to sit nice but improve the handling at the same time.
I believe that's just the Cup version. Either way it's the PRO kit so it'll be lower than the standards.
Am I sensing some sarcasm there There was fair old thud. I wasn't exactly going slow mind so that probably didn't help (still going under the speed limit of course).
Aye that's why I decided to renew them all. Plus after 18 months the car is still standard barring a K-Tec panel filter. Which is rare for me as I've usually done plenty by now. Get the ball rolling by lowering it then go from there (works out cheaper than replacing it with standard suspension anyway). Start having a bit of fun with it and do what I've wanted to do for a while with it.
