225 Spring Advise! What to buy....

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by gazmidas, Dec 24, 2014.

  1. Evening,

Recently purchased a 225 that has done just over 60,000 miles. I want to change the springs, slightly lowered would be nice but i want to retain some level of comfort as its only a road car and wont be tracked.

Oh and its a 5dr, so does that mean spring options are reduced?

    Regards
    Gareth

this is mine on cooksport, they sit perfect on the car and I don't feel the ride has been compromised at all

  4. Ive got a 5dr and cooksports, no noticeable difference in comfort if im honest. My mrs hasnt noticed and she drives the kids around in the car sometimes.

I would say cooksports for lowering springs on meganes 100%

  5. Nope I haven't bothered with spacers and dont think I will tbh in the future

  6. Im leaning towards the same rather spend the money on some other upgrades

  7. Are you talking about wheel spacers? What do people tend to use spacer wise? I have noticed the wheels look a bit inset.....

  8. Cooksports all the way for the springs. I put them on my R26 with OEM dampers and the difference on road comfort is slight. I haven't really worked them in yet, but they improve the overall ride performance quite a bit. Am waiting to get my car on track to see what they are really like

Cooksports. Just do it. You won't regret it.
