This morning started car and there was like a high pitch noise almost like when someone's belt is slipping. I left it like I always do for a couple of minutes till it wakes up and it stopped. Car drove fine all the way to work?? Sounded like it was from the belts in all honesty however I had the cambelt done around 30k mark under warranty and it's now on 45k. Any ideas? In addition if it's any help I also feel like the bite point has gone higher but maybe it's in my head? Thanks in advance. Elliott.
I had my cambelt and aux belt changed for this very same reason a couple of months ago. It was ok for a couple of days and then the noise returned. So I am also at a loss as to what it could be. It dose not have any adverse affect on the cars performance, but as you say it is pain in the ass for about 30/40 seconds. I don't think it has anything to do with the clutch.
