From where you can go there, with ESP button? If so, its the ESP completely off mode. Its not called Race Mode on the 250 but i think it is the same.
Press the ESP button once you get Sport Mode.. Press and hold the ESP turns off. I think that's when you get the extra 15bhp over the 250? Otherwise in normal mode it has the same power output as the 250
Normal - then 1 press of button is sport = faster throttle response, louder exhaust tone, and the esp into kind of half off mode, press and hold button, race = all of before with esp fully off. Not sure if the extra 15 bhp is available in sport mode or race, or both! That's my understanding!
Normal mode: base power and full traction control and electronic stability control Sport mode: full power, adjustable throttle pedal map (with RS Monitor), lower trigger threshold for TC & ESC, turns off stop/start. This mode won't activate if cruise control is activated. If the car (in normal mode) flashes the hazards under hard braking, this will now not function. Race mode: full power, adjustable throttle pedal map (with RS Monitor), no TC or ESC.

Yes. Be carefully in race mode, especially if you are used to normal or sport modes. It's not until you use race mode that you realise how much the car holds back. It's easy to power understeer into something without the driver aids holding your hand. The diff doesn't really work in my opinion either, until you get the TC off.
Especially when your car have remap, it is holding so much power back with the ESP on lower gears, when you put it to "Race Mode" it is all different animal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Never really thought about this on the road, but it makes sense! The TC does lightly step in if you're hoofing it round a bend, before the diff gets a chance to do its thing. Im going to experiment

The ESP stops grabbing the rear brakes to keep you in a straight line too Much easier to end up facing the wrong way in race mode!
It is better to drive with the ESP on or at least on Sport Mode outside of the track [emoji14]. For example i crashed my last Meg inside of the elk who ran on the highway, and i am quite shure the end of that crash would have been much different with ESP, but as it was turned completely off my car started spinning and ended inside of the ditch and trees. Alternatively, one can leave ESP on in Sport with all the ponies and try and stay just within the thresholds. Although I wonder if the rear brakes grab yet no light comes on the dash ?
I think it it may do, yes. I have a theory that the light only flashes if you've done something the system couldn't stop - aggressively turned into an off-camber corner causing all 4 wheels to slip, for example - but if you apply slow progressive inputs the system takes over without letting the driver know. I only ever see it flashing when I've lost grip somehow. At other times the car just seems slow yet no light appears. I think this is the system reducing torque or braking the wheels. I know that is not how it's written in the cars manual, but I'm fairly sure that's what's happening. Was the same with the R26.
