Hi, Just a quick question... Has anyone changed the colour of their rear diffuser? I have a black rs250 but im considering changing the colour of the diffuser to make it stand out, something such as an antercite or gun metal colour. Whats your thoughts? I have the 19's on so it may pull it off? cheers
Renault do sell it in anthracite as part of the optional "anthracite pack". If you do some googling theres pictures on the web of how it looks, for example:
cheers, that looks really good! I didn't even know Renault did it if im honest im a nooby to the Renault scene as this is my first Do you know if its a big job to take it off for a respray?
Have a look at these guys, clearly would be cheaper to get it hydro dipped but an option: http://streamlinecarbon.com/v2/
Think they're around £700 from Streamline !!!!! Lot of money when you could get it dipped for £100, that's the route I'm going when I manage to get mine off
Yeah i reackon dipped is the way to go. The carbon ones are pretty expensive and you"ll not add any value to the car or get your money back. I would be interested in finding out how much a new one cost and then get that dipped?
Why not contact this guy, see if he will sell you his (if its available) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-M...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20d328db5f
Hmm I dont think the carbon dipped would look good on the black 250 though. I think it wouldn't be noticed or if it did, look tacky / chavy. Just want something different and to look it and think yeah that looks mint! I think carbon dipped would look good on a red, and the blue rs250 but probably not on my black one =( Thats why I thought about the antracite, as it stands out a bit or makes you actually notice the diffuser lol
The carbon can be any colour I want, I think he said he tints the laquer. I'm after some red detailing on it like the red pack on the 265s. The plan is to have a thin red lip to break up the line between the bumper and diffuser and get the main diffuser in a dark grey or anthracite. The anthracite diffuser on the 250s contrast well against the black so that's my plan. When I get it done I'll get some pics up
yeah if you could mate that would be a great help. I thought about putting the red lines similar to the 265's too, but i think im just going to make this "my own" if that makes sense. carbon in any colour does sound really good actually, how much is that likely to cost?
I want something a bit different to the red pack but I want red on it somewhere to break it up a bit. It's £100 from a place called Hydro Monkeys in Sunderland. They're doing my front and rear diamonds at the moment and my engine cover is going in tomorrow for some black and red treatment
yeah it would look good. I just wouldn't know what to do appart from the brakes, as i wouldn't want to make it look like it was trying to be something it wasn't... you know like say a 1.8tdi audi A3 with S3/ RS3 wingmirror covers lol
Little update on the thread as I didn't want to make a new thread. But the RBR6 Megane RS has a yellow diffuser. Would this look good on a yellow Renault? Just curious.
Theres some picture floating about on Facebook of someone with a blue 250 who has done the front blade and rear diffusers in the tricolore and it looks really good (to my eyes)
if you have a black car i would say do it like this with yellow or black on black and use a detail striping around the diffuser , same as they have done with the trophy version in the front of the "F1 splitter" don't get me wrong but saying that carbon hydro dipping and a carbon fibre part look the same yes they do from 20 meters away but up close you can see the difference , but everyone makes his car with his budget of course ....
