Hello everyone, Here's a few pics from the Mach loop in Wales. It is very hit and miss with this place, You can go and see 40+ passes or see absolutly nothing which has happened once to me and i've only been 5 times. It can be hours and hours of boredam but when you hear a fast jet low level all of the boredam dissapears. Anywho here's some pics, All taken with a Canon 7D and Canon 300mm F4 lens C130J scenery by Nick Collins R.S. Thanks mates, Join Fox2.co.uk if you need any info on the low fly area , There's some awesome roads around there as well
Those are fucking awesome... brilliant photos! Its great seeing the jets flying so, some noise off them!
Really enjoyed those - great pics. Are they all taken with the 300/4? Is there a lot of cropping with the tight shots? You on airliners.net?
Thanks mate, Yep the're all with the 300mm F4. The cockpit close ups are cropped as is the head on Typhoon slightly, The rest are slightly levelled so very very slightly cropped. Personally i hate airliners.net, There so strict on what gets excepted and yet the toilet or cabin of an A380 ends up on there lol. Although i think i have about 20 pics on there before i gave up.
Nice images mate. I went in the summer I'll pop some of mine up later. The roads up there are great but when I went the Royal Welsh Show was on so the roads were very busy in places.
Thanks Nick. I haven't been doing photography long and my kit is very basic. The images are quite grainy so I guess a lower IOS will give me clearer images next time.
Yeh, Looks like pretty challenging conditions mate. It's hard to find a balance between shutter speed and ISO, Basically though mate it's practice makes perfect. Thanks Dan
