R26 Wheel Options

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by BEEFTEC, Jul 10, 2016.

  1. I kerbed one of my wheels the other day annoyingly, and with a couple of the others having minor chips i'm thinking i'll get all 4 refurbed / resprayed.

But before I do i'm considering other wheel options - Although it seems the offset of the megane reduces the options massively.

I've seen pics of Team Dynamics pro-race 1.2 wheels fitted and their available offsets means you get 20mm of extra poke to fill the arch.

Oz Ultaleggeras are a favorite of mine, had them on my Clio 197 but only got them because I found a used set for a good price. On the megane they're a nicer fitment giving about 13mm extra poke - But close to £1200 for wheels alone which I can't justify!

Any pics of R26 / 225 fitted with after market wheels or other options?

I have a set of TD 1.3's but they have not been on my car yet.

  3. I like the team dynamics, but I don't know if they're 'different' enough over the standard R26 wheels to justify the spend!

Anybody ever fitted Braid wheels. They're custom sizing/fitment so you can spec them how you like

  4. Been looking at a few options. Autec Wizards are nice but the offset means you're looking at an extra 23mm poke so might be a bit much.

Also quite fancy Evo Corse 'sanremocorse' wheels:

Offset gives you 20mm extra poke. £950 from Ktec but I contacted them and can import them direct to my door for £860

  5. Comps always look well on them, the wheels you've linked look to close to standard for me, If it were me I'd change them enough so they didn't blend in with the standard wheels

  6. Pro race 1.2 for me at the mo. Just need to take the plunge and get some! Won't be going lower than et53 though. 45 is too much poke.
Anyone got pics on pro race to tempt me to call up TD?!

  8. Cheers, whatever I get is going to be no lower than et50.

@Naith 's OZ F1 are et50 and look bang on but would be good to know what other wheels there are (that aren't mega bucks like OZ superleggeras, etc) avaiable for the meg 2 with et50-60

  11. They're the ones rimstock suggested to me. Pro race 1.2 only go to et53. Will see what the price is for those, do like the lettering on 1.2 tho

  12. I just have a set of Speedline Corse Turini 2120 installed last week. they are 8Jx18, 5x108PCD, ET60, 60.1mm centre bore. Probably the closest offset to my original R26R. I weighted both original wheel and Speedline and they are 11.21kg and 9.72kg respectively.
Actually the Team Dynamic is very good/robust too as I still have the very early stage Pro Race 1 on my pug205.

  13. Pretty good buy for someone don't you think? Good condition as well shame the rubber is a 45 profile and not a 40.

  14. Yeah defo a good buy. Just a bummer they're only 7.5j but not a big deal
