Hi all, Joined here for about a year, lurking, but thought I would finally start posting. Started with Renault in 2010 with a brand new Twingo 133 which was a very fun car, but after a time was looking for more power. Took it down to BMW to put a deposit on a 123D in which case was sold before I got there! Went over the road to Renault and there was a lovely RB 200 sitting outside and drove it home the same night! Loved the 200 but it had many issues with gearboxes (was on number 4 before I sold it!) So I sold it and decided to go for a 182. Still have the 182 today but is very different from the day I bought it! It now has an RS2, 421 cat cams, cage, harnesses, semi slicks... you get the picture. After deciding that driving a track car as a daily was a silly idea I was looking for more power and a slightly bigger car. Looked at all different options including Focus ST's, 350z more BMW's but also always had a soft spot for the R26. On a whim I went down to near Portsmouth looked at a low mileage R26 which looked like it had sat for a while but got a good price, so drove it home again the same day. Have now had it for nearly a year and have got induction, intercooler, miltek exhaust and had a full service done at Engine Dynamics as history wasn't really there. Is a very fun car and enjoy it a lot! Is great for a daily imo even though is slightly stiff and is great having a turbo and LSD. Would like to take it on some track days some time but having the 182 as a track car doesn't make sense to track the R26. Will be great to speak to you guys, looks like a great club.
Welcome! I had a clio 182 before I bought my black R26. I only had it for 6 months though, it was good fun just a bit small for me.
