Hi guys thought I would create a thread and introduce myself I'm Paul 20 got a Megane 250 cup in sport yellow. Leather recaros, sat nav. Looking forward to Modding this car, did a lot on my old Clio 197. So far upgraded the headlamps from standard, just the black inserts. Small touches like black badges, de wipered the car. Just had the roof and door handles wrapped by a friend in gloss black. Got a ktr cat back system on it with a decat in the post just in time before Christmas Getting a few track days booked for next year can't wait for the year ahead modding and racing this beast!
Happy days. Did you drill those awful bolts out? I got all the way to the motor and gave up when I saw them things lol!
Once I got to the motor I managed to get the bolts out without any drilling which was a plus. So all intact, can be put back in whenever
I will be looking at getting rid of the Steevs soon! So if anyone is interested let me know it's the standard one I got a friend to carbon dip it for me. Something different
A little update on the Megane front as I had quite a quiet Christmas and new year. So now at the end on the month getting new pads all round going to go for rc6 or DS2500 front. And just oem for the rear just in time for Bedford on the 29th of Feb. Bought a decat on eBay for the Megane quite cheap which was a bonus, but waiting till I get an intercooler and a few other bits and bobs before I get it mapped. And hopefully when a friend is done with his springs get some lowering springs on the Meg Got some wheel plans for the Megane going to get a track set of team dynamics 1.2's for track drop down from 19"s to 18" then going to see if I can get some oz Ultraleggeras for daily wheels. Very pricey but a lovely wheel and I love the look of them on the meganes. Hopefully a few people on here are going to Bedford end of February and will see some new faces
Just a bit of an update on the Meg, had a good day today detailing today as the sun was out, tried out some dodo juice banana armour and the protection was pretty good with the first coat of wax. https://vimeo.com/153604860 Love how the car comes out in the sun, the colour is growing on me more and more Had new tyres all round of the car went for eagle F1's fitted by a good mate, initial thoughts on them feel great gives a good feel through the wheel. But found two of my tyre pressure sensors just laying in the well of the wheel, there was no reading of it on the trip computer that they were missing but they just came off the car! Will get them all switched off as I check my pressures weekly. Just bought new pads all round too, went for DS3000 fonts and brembos rears with some new uprated fluid too. Will be good to have decent tyres and brakes just before my track day in February see how the car handles. Also got a decat and a intercooler sat in my bedroom waiting to be fitted then I think it will be mapping time! Can't wait for summer will be good with this Meg!
Just an update on the Meg, as I haven't posted anything in a while. Was at Bedford on the 27th of Feb was really impressed for a standard car all that I had done to it was new tyres and new pads and a cat back exhaust how well it performed! https://vimeo.com/158322346 This was the only little wobble I had on the day which isn't too bad! I've booked the car in for some bits to be fitted at the end of this month. Decat, intercooler, nut to stud kit and lowering springs. Can't wait for it all to be fitted! Also yesterday a forge blow off valve come in the post from another member on Megane sport, and fitted it last night thanks to a friend. And all working well will get a picture and a video when weather it's better. But all going well on towards getting it mapped at rst soon hopefully
