New Tyres, Federal 595 or Nankang NS2R?

  1. As title, I'm after 4 new Tyres for my 225 F1 team. Looking at either the Federal 595 RSR or the Nankang N2SR. Car is used at weekends only (unless the weathers good then it gets a run to work). Not to fussed about performance in the wet because of this.

    Opinions please?

    Thanks.

  2. RSRs all day long

  3. Federal 595's for sure....no question. Good dry grip and good wet weather performance. No brainer!!

  4. Love mine, done very well at brands hatch too! My mates mazda 3mps also has them, done 7 laps of nurburgring, laden hill track day and about 3 months of mixture driving before hand and still have loads of tread left so wear rate is excellent

For outright grip, NS-2R's in soft, Everyday of the week. For the best all rounder, RSR's.

Ive ran both on mine so this is first hand experience on road and track.

  6. I run RSR's on my r26. Done two track days at cadwell one wet to dry and one dry and warm.

Must say I'm happy so far good grip and also not to bad on the road in mixed conditions.

Can't comment on ns2r as o haven't ran it but for 86 quid a corner rsr proves good value for money

  7. Hard compound Ns2r are the ones I've been told to.get by friends but never user them so can't comment

  8. I suspect they are much of a muchness. Most have only had one and liked them and so will recommend them.

I've got NS2-Rs on mine and they are great in the dry and not so great in the wet. Very insightful.

You'll be fine with either IMO.

  9. I'm currently running the NS2R in medium. No complaints, dry grip is immense.

  10. Thanks for the replies. Seem's a split decision, no difference in price. I think I might try the 595's first.
