Welcome along fella, for your remap get to RS tuning in Leeds around £350 for a rolling road map, 260 BHP 270 torques will be around what you'll get.
Hi Ben, Where abouts in Cumbria are you? I'm over in Kendal. Quite a little Renault Sport tribe we're cultivating over here. Great roads round here for these cars. I'm going for my RS tuning stage 1 hopefully at the beginning of April when the cars back on the road after its winter nap. Lets have some pics lad!
Hey Ric, I'm in Barrow and I know what you mean lol. I've seen at least 2 other R26's just in Barrow. I actually spotted one today around 10.30 in Hollywood Park. Silver R26 with .R spoiler, an 07 plate I think, didn't get a good look at it. Thanks for all the welcomes guys, I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow. Ben.
Hi there benno, i used to see a black r26 a month or 2 back, i used to pass it most mornings in and around cartmel, was just wondering if it was you. As ric said there are a few about now, so when this crap weather disappears we should definitely get some meets sorted. and as for the stage 1, its a must

Hey up Benno. Barrow you say! My Missus is the manager of the new TK Maxx over that way and its a fast road out to there. Will be through myself come the better weather. Car looks ace, take it you've got some plans for it aside for the remap? Like Smithy said, few meets this year would be great, think they go out on a Sunday from the Gilpin Bridge on the A590 but we'll have to confirm that one with him.
Haha, small world lol. I haven't been in there myself, since it opened. As far as plans for the car go, I don't intend to go completely mad with mods, All I've done so far is fit a K&N induction kit which, in the process of fitting, found out that a previous owner had already modded the airbox. I'll probably get the remap and take it from there really. As for the remap, I've had a quote from a local company, optimumtuning.co.uk, £270 for stage 1. They look professional, although they don't have a dyno. Would it be best to go straight to RSTuning or trust this local company when it comes to remapping?
I thought I'd post a quick update. I decided to get booked in at RS Tuning for a remap after reading lots of good things about them on the forum and let me say, I'm so glad I did. Had the remap done yesterday after driving to Harrogate on the wednesday to watch Milton Jones live (hilarious show btw, very funny man) and then onto Leeds on the Thursday. The guys at RS Tuning were really friendly and helpful, really made me feel welcome. So the car made 231 BHP with just a modded airbox and a Pipercross filter which I was pleasantly surprised about lol. The guys said it was a strong engine =) After the remap, it made 266 BHP and 275 flb torque. Needless to say, I am very pleased with the results =) I would definitely recommend RS Tuning to anyone thinking of a remap even if you're miles away, it's worth the trip =)
