Jesus. Just driven past one of these. Utterly stunning. Made the i8 look like an antique. Same money as a McLaren 570S apparently, and there'd only one one winner for me if I was fortunate enough to be making that choice...
It is a stunning bit of kit, which is a shame as most seem to think its not worthy of supercar status as its a Honda. Not seen one in person, but all the media stuff round it shows it as something that could cause a little bit on man wee to happen lol.
I kind of understand the lack of supercar gravitas with the badge on the front, but then it doesn't seem to affect the likes of the Ford GT, Audi R8 or Lexus LFA. I think the original NSX suffered in the public opinion because of the 'fixed' max power of 276 that the Japanese manufacturers had in place at the time (although everybody knew it had more), and the fact that it was probably a little too 'good' and therefore lacked character. It did look awesome and made me turn round a look like I used to as a boy. Not great when you're driving
I think for your average punter, that's a supercar and would be what you would call 'adequate'. Problem is, the press and experienced journalists have to stack it up against the rivals such as Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini and McLaren etc and badge snobbery aside, it isn't quite up there as a comparable drivers car.
Know what your saying about looking at them, I have an annoting habit (according to the mrs) that when something special is driving by, I automatically turn off the radio and open the window to hear it, then proceed to tell her all about it and what is is, power and money lol
Such a great looking car this. I'm not sure it's truly in keeping of the spirit of the original NSX with all the hybrid gear, but it's still a stunning thing.
