Had the pleasure of carrying out a new car detail on kentblokes car this week, should give people a good idea of what can be done even on a new car.

    Upon arrival:

So the car was sprayed with Citrus pre wash and then washed with Gyeon Bathe:

Love how glossy and fresh Bathe leaves the car looking:

Then rolled into the garage and clayed:

    Nice consistant paint measurements:

    Onto the condition:

So onto the correction, im always sensible on a new car and avoid any heavy correction on deeper scratches, no point removing loads of clear coat just to get one deeper scratch when the area around it's perfect:

    50/50:

    All gone:

    Lovely and glossy:

    Nasty little scrape tidied up:

Under halogen this panel didn't look too bad but the sun gun revealed more:

    Another 50/50:

    This left a stunning finish:

    Then panel wiped:

Onto the protecton,Gyeon Mohs+ for this:

Whilst the first layer was curing I set about sorting the wheels, calipers and arches out, it's essential to get the fabric arches protected asap as they become a nightmare to clean once the dirt starts to build up:

    Onto the front:

Then onto the second layer of Mohs:

Then whilst that was curing onto the trims all done with Gyeon Trim, amazing stuff, love how even on new trim it leaves a stunning finish, the applicators are pretty cool too:

Onto the exhausts,my ocd MADE me polish the back box too:

Third and final coat of mohs left a stunning glossy finish:

This was left to cure so the engine and interior was coated:

Gtechniq G1&G2 used on the windscreen:

Onto the final part of the Gyeon kit Phobic:

That was left for 24 hours, so I finished up the rest of the car and treated door shuts etc with Britemax extreme elements:

The vehicle was then coated with Gyeon Cure and then waxed to help stop any water spotting occuring,so the finished car:

  6. What a difference, your work always makes the cars look sooo good.

The interior in those is so bland though!!

  7. Excellent work once again. I think it's the first time I've looked at one and liked it!

  8. Looks lovely. Great work. Wish I had a garage space like you!

I can't help but think the back end on those looks unfinished/rushed.

  9. Another great job Ed, super glossy

may just be me but it looks like an audi a1 from some angles. And yer, interior isnt the nicest!

  10. great work as always mate. stunning finish on the red

how do you compare the gyeon range to the Gtechniq coatings? are they any more fussy to apply??

    Cheers mate

It's a tough call in comparison, I rate exo so highly I tend to top most coatings with it but I find the Gyeon less fussy to apply as you have a better curing window, whereas C1 you have to wipe straight off in a small section the Gyeon you can do a much larger area and it's still easy to buff off. Gloss wise I think Gyeon has the edge, protection wise it's too early to tell but the Gyeon range is certainly easy for anyone to look after or top up with their range of product's like wet coat or cancoat.

  14. Like to thank Ed, car looks a treat mate. Great job cheers.
