  1. Finally picked up my Megane RS250 today. Got it home and set about giving it a good clean.

    Firstly snowfoamed using Autobrite Magifoam

Then rinsed and washed with 2 bucket method and my new Microfibres Madness Incredimitt.

Wheels cleaned with Autobrite Very Cherry and looking brand new! When I bought it there was a couple of curb marks on the front wheels but the dealer agreed to send them away for a refurb and they look perfect now. Can not see the repair at all!

Auto Finnesse Iron Out was then used on the lower panels and wheels. Not too much bleeding showing up.

Car was then dried off using an Autobrite drying towel. Looking nice and shiny!

A quick wipe round of the engine bay and plastics treated.

And that was it for the day. Was hoping to get a coat of wax on but rang out of time and light.

Loving the car so far. It's in top condition only a few minor stone chips but other than that it's mint. A real credit to the previous owner Chris_M250.

Really looking forward to covering many more miles in the car!

  2. Very nice indeed , and nice cleaning thread!

  8. Hi

  9. Its like looking at pictures of an ex-girlfriend! I can only hope that the previous owner that had it after I traded it in didn't screw the paintwork too much as I managed to avoid getting any swirl marks while I had it!

My wash sequence was as follows: ValetPro Ph neutral or AF Avalanche snow foam, AF Lather Shampoo, CarPro Iron-X followed by Tar-X then clay to remove any tough contaminants. I used to use the Werkstat Acrylic Sealant kit from polished bliss as an LSP, used dodo blue velvet once or twice which brought it up nicely too. On the leather I used to use the Sonus Leather Care Kit and G-techniq C6 for interior plastics.

    Hope you enjoy it!

  10. Ha! Yeah the paint has remained swirl free thankfully, had a good look yesterday and it's still near mint. I even told the garage not to bother washing it before I picked it up, didn't want them dragging a mucky sponge across the paint! Got a funny look off the salesman though. He said it was the first time he handed over a car that hadn't been washed!

  11. Looks cracking in the grey and great spec as well
