My headlight washers have a mind of their own...

  1. Not sure if this is normal or not so just wanted to gauge opinions please.

When I use my windscreen washer on my 250 about every 3rd time my headlight washers seem to kick in. And boy do I notice.

I've never seen spray like it, it reaches up past my windscreen and if I'm turning a corner at the time it even hits my rear window! Surely it's actually missing my lights?

    Thanks

  2. On my 250 the headlights seem to get washed with every pull of the stalk. And it uses practically all the water in the bottle too. Gives a good 3 sprays on each light. I imagine I've accidentally soaked a few pedestrians

Headlight washers will only work if you have your headlights on and use your windscreen washers to get a "full" clean. If you pull it for less than a second IIRC you should just get a squirt of fluid and that won't trigger the headlight washers, May need to do it a few times to get any decent amount of fluid to actually clean.

  4. Mine does it every time without fail, proper annoying specially after spending all day cleaning it but as said if you pull it for less than a second it doesn't trigger it.
