Mtec brakes bearings

  1. Purchased MTEC brakes 15 months ago and wheel bearings are done, all I now get are promises of callbacks that never happen has anyone had similar issues or dealings with them?

    Thanks

  2. Oh oh. I have some rear m tech brakes to go on Thursday. Hope mine don't fail too. What's the tell tail sign of bearing failure?

  3. My rear MTec discs are f@#ked after 7000 miles. They look like a dalmatian. I will post some pics.

    S.

  4. The noise, sort of a whirring that gets louder the faster to drive is the only way I can describe it, and it's the rear ones!

  5. I looked at the M-Tec rear disks for my 225 but just went for genuine renault drilled ones for £109 a pair.

Pleased I did now and not get Mtec ones.

  6. Where'd you get those from Trophyboy?

  7. Do you think if I sent them back unfitted they would give me my money back ?

  8. I think they have a 30 day returns policy.

  9. I order all my genuine parts from Dave at Renault Wolverhampton bud.

Great discount for forum members. Only paid £120 for my new front bumper in primer too.

  10. Thank christ I saw this thread, literally looking at rear brakes now lol. Pads are pretty much on the metal aswell.

Renault Parts Direct do rear discs for £114 and Pads for £37 so think I'll go down that route, at least they're genuine parts.

This is the issue I have with so called after market parts on ebay. Especially with important parts such as brakes. You literally have no idea what you're buying until you fit them. 7k Miles for a wheel bearing is a piss take 2bh.

  11. Yep and they messed me about for the past 3 weeks the same woman always denying I she's the person I'd spoken to previously. They're a nightmare to deal with!
