Hello everyone Just thought I'd be appropriately friendly and introduce myself. I picked up a 10-plate 250 Cup 2 weeks ago, oyster grey with not many options but I love it to bits. She's a daily driver and has replaced two cars (330d and an S2000) to give me the best of both worlds. So far, very impressed especially as I bought it unseen from a major dealership chain on the back of a 10 min test drive of a full fat the week before! But seeing as I got it for £10k I figured I needed to move quick to secure the car. Most others I was looking at were a good £2-£4k more expensive for equivalent miles and condition. The gamble has paid off. I've had lsd equipped fwd cars before (jdm bb4 preludes) but it's still taking me a little while to get used to it wanting to drag me into hedges on full throttle overtakes, but it all adds to the fun. Inevitably (for me) I've already remapped it. I thought it felt pretty strong already but didn't seem that torquey, so after a lot of lurking research on your combined experiences (thank you) I plumbed for an RS Tuning map, but rather than plod up to Leeds I used one of their newer dealership network agents, Pug1Off, in Brackley Northants, suffice to say they did a great job and I highly recommend them to anyone who lives out of range of Leeds. The car is now an absolute animal. I've owned plenty is quick cars before, but the megane is something very special. Anyway, enough waffle, I'm off out for a drive.
None so far, I've had chance this morning to get a bit more accustomed to the map - it's pretty fierce so I'm tending to use 3rd over 2nd, 4th instead of 3rd etc because it's a real handful on WOT.
