HD RTS Clutch Kit Renault Megane MK3 RS Part number: RTSHD - 5564 RTS'S pressure has been developed using a unique clamp load design to maintain the OE stock pedal feel but also be capable of holding more power than the OE clutch. The aramid friction exhibits 50% less wear than a conventional drive plate friction material. This material also reduces the effects of fade. Fade is the decline in the clutch system’s ability to transmit torque as operating temperatures increases. These features in combination with the previously mentioned micro-structure of spheroidal casting and ER2 technology allows the clutch kit to dissipate heat far more effectively, allowing the clutch to run cooler for longer. RTS kit has been designed with a higher clamp load enabling the clutch system to transmit 60% more torque over the standard clutch kit and is suitable for every day driving, fast road and track/circuit racing whilst maintaining user-friendly driving experience. RTSTF - 5564 has been designed and manufactured to significantly exceed the original clutch system whilst also maintaining OE pedal effort, thus delivering a torque capacity of 350 lbs/ft of torque. Many people are running more power with hybrid turbos and using the Renault Megane RS 250, 265 and 275 trophy as trackday cars so they want a clutch with more bite, but still drive to events and on road so dont want a super heavy bite, nor the grabby nature of a full paddle clutch.
