Midlands remap group buy

  1. Hi all,

Due to success of the RS tuning remap group buy in the other thread, I thought I'd try the same for people more local to myself!

    I have searched around the Midlands and Chris at CC Tuning, Burton-on-Trent gets rave reviews for his remaps. I contacted him and his response was as follows;

    Hi Toby

The increase in power on a stage 1 map on your car is around 30-35bhp and 50-60lb ft torque. It will improve the drive through out the Rev range and can often improve mpg as well.
We carry out a number of tests and checks including diagnostics, data logging rolling road testing ,whilst we are modifying the cars engine software.

Once were happy we can give you a reading of the increased power over standard.

Very few tuning garages offer the same level of in house software modifications and vigorous testing.

The cost for all this is £300
If you would like to book please let me know.

For a Dyno run monitoring afr boost ignition power torque etc costs £50.
    Regards

    Chris

So, i will gauge interest on here and get back in touch as regards a discount for a group. The price seems very competitive for a 'proper' live remap even before discount!

    What you think?

    Regards,

    Toby

  2. How come it is extra to monitor AFR, Boost & ignition timing ? They need to monitor/adjust these during live mapping anyway?

  3. Hi,

You misunderstood - Chris is saying a straight dyno run to check these parameters without a remap is £50 as I enquired! All these are of course included in the remap.

    Regards

  7. I might be interested Toby.

  8. id be interested price dependant

  9. CC is local too me, last time I checked he used generic maps in most stuff bar vauxhalls and VW's as they seem to be his forte. He never seems overly busy when I pass by

  10. Interesting, I'll have to speak to him. Seems to get good reviews from everywhere I've seen. Apparently he writes generic maps for the cars, uploads and tests them before tweaking them. Most important thing with any map is that the fuelling and boost levels are good - these will be tested and plotted. I'll speak to him over the weekend and report back.

Cheers - I'll keep you updated!

  11. He uses the kess V2 system for mapping so I assume he uses Alientech maps.

I'm not knocking his work, he seems good with the likes of VW's and Vauxhalls it's pretty much all I see him post.

Personally I'd be using someone who's familiar with renaults like Unicorn in Manchester or RS
