Hi I'm new to the world of Renault and the Megane RS. I've been a Toyota fanatic for years and still have a black 2012 GT86 Which is up for sale (£11,000) at the moment. But now is the time to change, if only for a bit more power and comfort. I'm looking for an RS250 Cup edition as I have been told they are the ones to go for. Colour isn't a problem so long as it's not yellow. Must have a sat nav installed and climate control too. Leather heated seats would be good also. Mileage under 60K with full service history is a must and proof of the Cam belt / water pump change also a must. Anything else can be put up with so long as the car is as well cared for as possible. I would consider an exchange for the GT86 but otherwise I have around £10500 (or slightly more at a push) for the right car. Not an amazing amount but hopefully there's one out there. Theres a 250, and 250 cup, the 250 will have leather, climate control, keyless entry as standard, 250 cup will have cloth, and a more basic interior etc, but will have the cup pack as standard. But the cup pack was made an option on the normal 250. Cup pack-stiffer, slightly lower, groove disks, red calipers and lsd, non cup pack, softer, plain disks, silver calipers and no lsd.
I think I have it now. I need a 250 with the cup pack option so I get creature comforts and the extra options. Thanks so much...already on the learning curve now. Anybody got one of these for sale. If you can do without leather and sat-nav (I'd throw in my Garmin) I've just put my 250 up for sale on here.
Hi pal I have recently bought a RS 250 that was for sale on here with a view to do the odd trackday... I've come from big powered Audi's quite a few years ago, what I wasn't anticipating was my reaction time and eyesight deteriorating as rapid as it has.... Not going to bore you with all the rest, all I can say is my RS 250 is probably one of the most seriously well thought out put together available. Spec is very comprehensive and best mods available and put together in a "no cut corners manner". Very well setup and thought out car. Might not have the "best" spec in terms of shiny stuff but as an overall package its definitely one of the best cars with the stuff done to it. Built to hammer round track all day with no issues with heat etc.
