250 Lowering Springs... worth the hassle?

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by d4mo, Jan 21, 2014.

  1. Hi,

Im debating getting some H&R / Eibach lowering springs for obvious reasons... the ride height (even on 19's).

However, I really like the way the car handles on its standard set up.

Has anyone lowered their 250 with either of the above springs and if so what if any, differences did you notice in regards to handling both on the road and track?

    Many Thanks

    Damo

  2. I'm in the same boat as you d4mo. I think the ride in OEM is firm enough and I'm not prepared in the trade-off for a couple of MM drop, afterall the car is pretty low to begin with.

I'll be interested to see what the concensous is about this.

  3. it looks nice and low when your looking at the front of the car ie facing the bonnet but for me its just the gap between the arche and the wheel would look better if it was a bit smaller

Wait for Cooksport to develop and release their springs for the 250/265

  5. Never heard of Cooksport until I came on this website so i've no idea about them and on their website there isn't any products for the 250. I've just seen their post about developing springs... which is great however i've never heard of them lol

They have developed springs for the Clio 172/182/197/200 and Megane 225/230. They have gone down very well with members on this forum and the Clio forums.

  7. cool sounds promising, thanks for the info. i'll take them into consideration if and when the springs are available

You won't hear bad things... being developed by a racing driver not Kim in a Beijing warehouse!

They transform a Mk2 Sport, be good to see what goes on with the 250/265.

  10. hmm really does sound promising.... might hold on and wait
