Hi, I'm new to this site. I've got a megane mk2 2007 2.0 dci 150 gt. Was wondering of the r26 Intercooler would fit. Any help is very much appreciated
No there totally different. Using petrol aftermarket intercoolers (ktr,airtec,forge) require a fair bit of modification to the boost hoses. Mainly the intake hose, as its a much smaller diameter, solid plastic and in a totally different position to the petrol models. Ive seen people write that the standard 225/r26 intercooler is the same as the 1.5 intercoolers. That is total rubbish, they are larger and the inlet outlets are totally different.
Cheers, just thought that coz I seen a 175 for sale with a r26 Intercooler and I read that the 175 one fits the 150. Any difference between the 150 and 175 cooler
I take it your looking at the red 175 on ebay? If it had a aftermarket intercooler fitted you would be able to see it. Fitting a standard r26 cooler is totally pointless and wont gain any power or flow better. The intecoolers on the gt150 and sport 175 are the same. Not as tall as the standard r26 coolers but around 100mm longer.
Yes I was looking at that one, was just looking for ideas. So how much do u think it would set me back for an upgraded cooler for gt150
