Hi all Naith suggested I join the club as I am on the hunt for a Megane RS 250/265 Cup. I would appreciate the chance to hear from owners and understand which is the one to go for, any must-have options, running costs and things to look out for.. the budget is circa £15k. Sure there are plenty of threads to trawl through so I'll take a look. I want something fun and capable to use on some events and the odd trackday, whilst retaining a bit of practicality, and so far the Megane ticks all those boxes and some! Cheers! Adam
Welcome along Adam, there's a great bunch on here that will assist you with what you need mate. Plus most of the cars on here if for sale are very well maintained as they are forum member items.
Evening Adam! I'm Greg and I attend your meets with Josh in the 458, was out with you on Sunday just gone! If there's anything I can help with locally let me know, know these cars very well and more than welcome to look at one for/with you.
Welcome. For your budget I'd get a low mileage 250 cup as you should find a decent spec for that money too.
Hi Adam having just purchased myself I deffo would say have the cup just for the lsd as for spec if toys are your thing then look for a full fat with the cup chassis pack added or if like me your happy with the bare essentials a factory cup has enough spec imo, there are so many diff spec cars when buying used. the v2 monitor is deffo worth having if you don't need sat nav. Also think of this with £15k to spend why get a 265 why not get a mint 250 then you will have change to use/tune or even keep back for maintainable on the car.
Welcome to the site mate. Take a look through all the areas. There's a lot of useful info on the MK3 Meganes. What do you currently drive?
Thanks for the welcome chaps! Currently driving a 320D M Sport, it does the job and I enjoy the RWD aspect on most roundabouts, but it seriously lacks the fun factor! Maybe a 250 Cup is the way forward, as you say I can remap it if needs be! The Recaro's are a must! What comes with the cup pack? V2 monitor looks cool! Not too fussed about colour, would prob wrap it in SCD graphics anyway! What are they like to maintain? Anything to look out for? Feirny - that's a kind offer you, I'd appreciate that, thanks! Time to have a good look around...... cheers
