Help needed - Front calliper dust seal replacement

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by Nitro94, Aug 7, 2020.

  1. My 265 had really bad break squeal under breaking so I took the pads out and copper slipped them up.
What was meant to be a quick and easy job turned into a nightmare as my one of my pins was completely seized in. Basically after many hours of swearing, blowtorching and beating it with a hammer I got it out
But in the process have damaged one of my dust seals on a piston. So I now have no break squeal but a burned dust seal.

Firstly does anyone know what size seal I need / recommend where get one from.
Secondly, is it as simple as popping the old seal out and putting the new one in its place?

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

  2. Biggred or Ebay, maybe RPD, is a good place to start, seal just comes out and new one fits in place in caliper groove and over the piston groove.

Size will be dependent i guess if you know the Brembo caliper part number, you could try catcar.info for Renault part number, Brembo sells a refurb kit too from their website or resellers.

    Thats it

  3. I got mine from Biggred.co.uk recently. All seals and new pistons for £90 something pounds. Going to fit them next week.
