175 DCI Help! Fitting cupra splitter megane mk2 ph2

Discussion in 'Exterior & Bodywork' started by OscarLomax, May 6, 2016.

  1. Ok so decided to fit my cupra splitter today.
After taking the rubber lip off I have no idea how the hell you fit the cupra one.
Everything I read online says it's really easy, a little trimming and some self tappers but I don't see it:worried:

If there's anyone that knows how to do it and preferably has pics you'd be a life saver!

    Thanks in advance

Cut the clips away and screw it in with self tappers by the looks of things...

  3. So you think saw that whole bottom off the front bumper? Seems extreme.

  4. I had to for the same front lip, I strategically left a few where it naturally clipped in and then bolted it in place all the way along, you can't see bolts. Let me know if you want a pic or 2

  5. Pics would be a huge help thx. I looked everywhere for a fitting guide but I guess nobody else is as useless as me and don't need one, lol

  6. I'll try get some pics in the morning, to be fair it took me and my dad 4 hours, didn't want to cut too much off so I had to keep testing and trimming...

  7. Yeah I guessed it'll take a few hours. Gotta pull my finger out and do a few bits, only just got round to fitting my steering wheel.

The pics aren't great but gives you an idea of where I cut and the type of bolt head

  14. Looks really good! Have to wait now I Gotta get a new gearbox:worried: but I'll get round to it eventually.

  15. Cheers, took some time but worth the effort.

    Standard

Do! Shame about the gb :worried:

  16. Tell me about it[emoji53] had some cash put away and was waiting to hear a price for this exhaust company's thread but that's out the window for now.

Not to be cheeky but is there any chance you could get a couple of pics from underneath so I can see how it's attached?

  17. Just self tapering screws all around into the bottom of the bumper. You'll see what works when the bumper is off and you are sizing up the splitter
