Well i came from a cup packed 182 to the cup packed megane and was impressed by how comfortable the cup'd Megane was in comparison. I really enjoyed the forgiveness, however, I found there was a lot more body roll than I was expecting (and used to), I found this really unnerving, so I decided to try the H&R springs. The H&R springs are a lot firmer, a lot! Body roll is reduced greatly but comfort is also greatly reduced when encountering speed bumps, pot holes etc... I would say the firmness is now similar to that of my old cup packed 182. Most of the roads I drive are in fairly good condition and I don't come across many speed bumps, so I find the comfort fine for my requirements the vast majority of the time. I couldn't say the handling is better or worse, but i prefer the 'feel' with the H&Rs when giving it some in the bends. For me the improved feeling on cornering outweighs any potential added discomfort, but this is of course only my opinion .
When I had my BMW most folks preferred Eibach Pros to H&R, seems the other way around with the Megane
I've had allsorts on my previous clios, H&R billstein, KW Coilovers and also had some eibach sportlines, they are a good spring with decent dampers. H&R look more for Lowz IMO?
I had Eibachs on my previous 197 Cup, hated the ride on that. Cheers for the feedback and pictures. Steve
As in too crashy? I'll probably just jump straight to b14's but I actually quite rate the cup set up in day to day terms
My cup had them when I bought it and now has kw clubsports and obviously they where a lost softer then those but I also have a cup on standard cup suspension and you can tell that the HnR springs add a very nice drop in height and definitely helped reduce body roll. My road is speed bump hell and the car was perfect even on the HnR springs.
I'm not going the coilovers route (had several cars in the past with KW V3's and Bilstein B16's) I get fed up jaffing about with adjusting things. H&R seem enough for my requirements and with the pics people have added the cars sit nicely as well... Thanks everyone for your input Steve
Have you got a link for there as the only ones I can see at that price are to fit the old megane. Cheers
Just checked that they now have them at £165 anyone have a good code for them or can get them cheaper?
Not 100% sure but pretty sure these are the right ones..... They'd work out at £114 delivered (141EUR +21.90 @1.43) - http://www.ebay.de/itm/H-R-Federn-A...565206?hash=item2c6b592496:g:A9YAAOSwF1dUPluX
