Glacier R26 newbie in East Sussex

  1. Hi Guys & Gals

So I've been on here for a few months

To tell you the truth I was after a mk1 focus rs (don't shout) but came across mine and another R26 on pistonheads and liked the look of of them and remember the excellent write ups in the press years ago

So I got mine a few months ago, low ish mileage Glacier with xenons, auto wipers and lights etc etc

The car has rsmegane.com stickers so must of been on here at some point.

Anyway the brought the car being told the Cambelt and water pump and full service has been done but I got it done myself to make sure. So Cambelt, water pump etc, decent gearbox oil and decent engine service all ready to go.

I wanted the the car mainly for weekend blasting while my toy (S1 106 rallye 1.6 16v turbo) is in bits. Also for the GF to use occasionally to commute to London.

Saying all that the car has already done brands and is booked for 22nd at snetterton 300 woooops lol

Trying to hold back from the modding situation tbh but need to go fully over the brakes before snetterton.

Anyway can't seem to upload pics from my iPad but will get some up

    Cheers for reading the dribble

    James

  2. Actually I may as well ask

What brakes are people using? More road driving than track days but will go on track I reckon until my rallye is finished

Already have motul 660 fluid to go in next week but can't decide which pads to get

DS2500 on the rear with standard non drilled discs? Pagid discs ok from eurocarparts?

DS3000 or CL Rc6 upfront on Brembo Hc discs?

    Goodridge braided hoses on route

    cheers people
