hey guys, just picked up my rs 250, 2011 gone 100,000 kms absolutely loving it however have one question when im shifting into fourth it takes a bit of effort to get it into that gear, is that normal with renault gearboxes ? no crunching just gotta put some weight behind it
hi it could be two problems the snychrose on the gear box are worn or the clutch needs bleeding again renault are known for week gearbox problems i’d bleed the clutch and do the brakes at the same time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
check gearbox oil level, it should be level with the filling plug. might be worth servicing the gearbox anyway
Sorry to have to say but i think your synchro is on the way out, happened to mine, then it started to nitch into gear. If its the clutch, then it will be a struggle to get into 1st or reverse gears.
