European Breakdown

  1. Hi All

Im soon off on a 2 week road trip around Europe and my first visit to the Ring. Just in the process of looking into European Breakdown cover.

The top 3 (AA, RAC and Green Flag) all come in about £100, however using a comparison website Ive had a couple of quotes at around £35-£40 from QDos and StartRescue.

Just wondering as a few of you make the pilgrimage to the Ring often if you use breakdown cover and who do you use? Any recommendations?

    Thanks

  2. Read the small print, I m with Kwik fit, took over 2 weeks to get my car back, they wait till they can fill a transporter, my next policy will make sure it's picked up and back home the same day on a single pick up truck

  3. I used my Nationwide bundled cover that comes with the Flexi plus account. £10/month but that's also my WW travel insurance and mobile phone insurance (for the family). Also pays 3% on the first £2,500.

  4. Thanks for the advice, I dont fancy having to leave my car abroad for 2 weeks. However in its current state with the clutch issues Id quite like to set it on fire! Lol.

  5. To be fair, if you have mechanical issues at the Ring and drop fluid on the track, then being car less for 2 weeks will be the very least of your problems...

  6. Haha! True. It would be just my luck at present!!
