Was after getting some cooksports but they are out of stock yet again, do the others compare or shall i wait for them to come back in? For my r26 by the way i'm after a bit of a drop.
all decent springs but cooksports are the ones to get if they are availiable, ment to sit and feel better than the other 2. but id choose hr over eibach.
I fitted some H&R at the weekend and im over the moon with them. The ride is spot on and has given it a really nice drop. Couldnt be happier.
Cooksports gone up in price i noticed from £180 to £195! I would say cooksports had them on both my megs and love them
The Cooksports are absolutely fantastic springs, well worth the money. Search function on here will show a good few cars sat on them.
I've got cooksports on mine not tried the others but can vouch for cooksports the ride is spot on and the stance of the car is perfect
Got Eibach Pros on mine and the ride is super firm!!! Car grips like mad round the twistys and not bad at £120 for the set
Not used them or know any one that has but there the exact same spring rates as the eibach pro's, so a downgrade if you already have the cup/r26/r26R springs, unless your after a comfier ride/lowzzz at the cost of handling! Tbh though theres not much difference with the H&R's, the fronts are slightly firmer than the eibachs at 45n/mm compared to 37n/mm but still softer than the OEM springs on a cup upwards (the rears are identical to the eibachs). I think the main difference with the H&R's + eibachs is the H&R's are a progressive not linear spring at the front.
I'm unsure on the cook sports - couldn't ever find anything online about them, i fired josh an email a day or so ago though - waiting to hear back
That'll do for me. Can't wait to get them now I don't rate the standard trophy set up at all. Thanks.
Tbh I found the standard R26 suspension crashy, I run BC coilovers and now and don't get me wrong you feel the road but it's not crashy at all.
I will be fitting BC coilovers later but for now the springs will have to do. Had them before so can't wait to fit them to the megane.
You won't rate any of the other options then bar maybe the cooksports, as I've said previously the h&r's, aftermarket eibachs and the majority of the springs out there are almost 50% softer than standard oem cup springs! There slightly firmer than full fat none cup springs but that's it!
Dont want cooksport they look too low on the pics ive seen. Might just have leave it as it is then till the wife stops spending all the car money on the bloody house so i can get the bc's.
Whats the ride height you have atm with the BC's compared to the standard R26 set-up - I'm looking to upgrade potentially but don't really want to drop the height so much to remove the practicality with speed bumps etc - BC's something I've been considering
Tbh it's not something I've measured tbh. It's still to be corner weight tbh. Here's a picture but I've since raised the rear to give a bit more rake as it helps with turn in a little. Beauty of the bc's is you have total control over ride height, spring choice and dampening. Main reason I went for them is I have had past experience and always been happy and there customer service is good and gives me the adjustability come track days
Thanks Dan!!!, I had a refresher of your build thread just there as well, think I may have to send Angel a msg and see if he can sort me out a deal with tyres next month!
