  1. Has anyone ordered and fitted an ebay intercooler form the Netherlands?

    Any good?

Are they much bigger than standard, or am i better off paying for an airteck/forge one which is 95mm thick instead of 60mm?
I notice that k-teck used to supply a 60mm one so im assuming the standard one is thinner than 60mm?

    Thanks in advance

  2. Forge is also a 60mm. And they were on a bad rep being unreliable.
Th one of ebay looks very simmilar to the forge. If on budget go for it, or get an airtech.

  3. Got one of the gpi ones was about th same price seems to work out, Paul was not impressed with the quality but at a fraction the cost of a branded one its ok

  4. I've got an eBay one - Does the job and can't be beaten for the money. The best intercooler is the Pro-alloy one i'd say. Around £550 from RS Tuning.

Its about 50mm taller and 15-20mm thicker than standard. But the forge one is a lot bigger in comparison to this - All the aftermarket ones are bigger than the eBay ones by far.

  10. I have an eBay jobby. Runs 300bhp through it no worries.
Seems to be pot luck on the quality though.

Definitely pot luck. I have the GPI one from Holland (China really) via Ebay. On mine the welds looked OK just not done very well, Paul @ RS Tuning though posted a picture of one on their FB page that had hilariously bad welds poking out into the inside of the pipes by several mm. I was surprised to feel a big difference after fitting it, like the car builds boost much more sharply, it already had an RS Tuning map done on the stock cooler. I may get a rear box chop on mine and then get a map tweek from Paul.

Easy to fit, bumper off isn't a big job then you can access it.

  15. Another thing to add to the growing list!

  16. Ebay one fitted, cost £130

Its thicker but no taller. Feel any different?!

Feels exactly the same to me!

May fit an air tech in the future but that bothered

  18. The current boost pipes on my 225 are damaged and looking at replacing everything with forge pipes so might as well do the intercooler at the same time. Can anyone recommend a decent cooler of Ebay or am I better off just waiting a month and doing a forge cooler.

  19. Airtec! [emoji3]

  20. Was thinking about that, but unfortunately all the repair work I have had to do has eaten into the budget.

Basically have the choice of ebay unit or stock at the moment.
