Yep unfortunately that's how it goes and I believe it's more expensive if you have keyless

 

If you can start it without putting the key in its keyless

 

Ehy would he need the whole handle?

Thats the passenger side, hes after the drivers side, which is a whole unit

Should be same. But most of the time they get lost and than replaced by non matching one. I almost lost mine twice (felt of the car but noticed it

 

You can buy that plastic cap for £5 at the parts counter in Renault.

I had to use the emergency key slot on my Inferno when the battery died and it damaged the whole underneath. Went to Renault and bought a replacement no problem.

Don't need to buy the whole handle unless they've changed things in the last 3 years or so.
