Hi all, another r26 owner moved onto a 250 on here. Old R26. Loved this car.. Sold my r26 back end of last year and told myself I was going to move onto an e46 m3. Test drove both manual and SMG and both just weren’t for me. Felt really dated. So went back to what I know a bit about and looked back at renaultsports. With the advice off my good friend Tom who’s also just made the switch and having owned 3 clios and a megane previous it definitely made sense. This cropped up locally at MWP in Cheshire. 2011 ‘61 on 60k. Pretty much every option bar pan roof Completely standard. Had brakes, full service, timing belt, dephaser, water pump, gearbox oil and brake fluid as part of the deal. Was never even thinking about black ones. Was adamant on a white one till I viewed. Just looked really evil. First mods were just basics.. Got it home cleaned it, debadged the rear and added black badge covers Second day of ownership I booked the car in for a midbox chop.. me and quiet cars don’t mix well. Went for a nice subtle Gloss Black sunstrip for the car off a local lad Dave Marsden in Preston. Would recommend to anyone, real perfectionist. Then bought a new set of wheels for it. Team Dynamics pro race 1.2 18x8 in anthracite from Alex at Engine Dynamics. Big trip to Essex for these [emoji42] took them straight for refurb. Will be fitting when I sort some tyres. Then ordered some H&R 35/35mm springs from GNJ Motorsport. These came next day so pretty much got them straight on. Also fitted a stud/nut kit whilst I was at it. Then the worse job ever. Had a Forge Recirc valve to go on since I owned the car, put it off for ages. Tackled it with no injury’s which is extremely rare for me and megane Engine bays. Also fit a pipercross panel filter and removed the small sound deadening pad out the airbox Then most recently I’ve struck up a bit of a deal with scorpion to use the car on stand at French Car Show. I got a full 3” turbo back system for a great price so was obviously the next mod.. Future plans are get the wheels on, get the Steevs sold and then use the money to buy an Airtec for the car, then fingers crossed it should have a hybrid and get booked into EFI for a map by the end of the year. I’ll be happy power wise to sit around 350hp. Then I’ll be looking to stick a set of coilovers on it and start to enjoy it on track. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Since fitting the exhaust I’ve took the car to scorpion HQ to get some decals fit for FCS Then fit a GT Performance / Pipercross intake And picked up my team Dynamics from the paint shop [emoji108] And took it to my friends garage, whilst changing the wheels did the brake fluid swap for ATE TYP200.. And the finished result was this .. Then had the car on stand at FCS with Scorpion. And also took the car for a blast out Round donington which was epic but also highlighted the poor tyres and the H&R springs are a little too soft for track for me, so I think coilovers are in order next mod. Specially after hooning Round cadwell with Tom in his OG 250 and having a couple of Megane battles, I’ve deffo caught the bug again for trackdays. Also tonight whilst at “work” fitted the GT performance turbo pipe, which adds to the Intake pipe I’ve got off them and also just added a Pipercross cone which fills the gap of the airbox quite tightly [emoji23] Next job in the bay get shut of the shitty plastic sound pipe thing, and fit a Powerflex engine Bush. Took the car to Tunerfest North at Oulton Park, handled great on track but don’t think I’ll bother with any of these show session track slots again, too many people getting in the way.. Hopefully should have coilovers and an intercooler sorted for this month, booked my first proper track day in the car for Anglesey on the 2nd October so got lots of prep to do.
Booked on a cadwell evening session at the beginning of this month so first thing I needed was to sort some tyres out as the AD08r were dead. Stuck a full set of 888r on. Got them for a great price, despite being wrong time of year they seem to be doing okay in rain etc. and some pic whoring from cadwell ... Car was great, pretty faultless. Only issues where suspension felt way too soft for cadwell. And rolling out of the seats too much inside, suspension will be sorted when I collect the coilovers and I’ll look into some of the CG locks to help keep me in the seat. Got some cheap Rota P1 as winter/wet wheels, saves me swapping tyres constantly on the team Dynamics.. They’re 18x7.5 et45 so not a bad fit. Airtec FMIC fitted tonight, literally took about 50 mins nice easy job and looks great filling the grill now. Ready for remapping now [emoji48] that’s a while off yet though, quite happy with the current power just want it handling better first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes mate no worries, im at anglesey next month too so will be able to give them a good test. Got the backs on so far and the rear is soo much tighter already; hoping to run the car pretty low so think im gunna need larger spacers, might change the 5 to 10mm for when i run camber dont want the wheels looking lost. Had the KW clubsport fit today and did a basic fast road alignment Gave it a bit of a hoon home and its unreal, so snappy and responsive. Id recommend these to anyone thinking about it, got the dampening set up mid way and its great on the road Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Alignment looks pretty pointy .. I think I will also go for the Clubsport instead of the AST... they both offer same package for the same price. both coming at around 2350,00 euro incl. top mounts...

Some photo whoring from anglesey the other week. Was understeering like crazy on the 888r so need something better for next years trackdays.. And heres how the tyres ended up.. Holly shit, how many track days have you done on those tyres, so many think there the best thing going, personally i use Federal 595's and get on with them great, i also tried AD08r's at Anglesey because they were recommended, not a great fan for track work. What offset are the TD 1.2's ???
How did you setup camber? With shocks out of the car or did you cut the towers? Can you take a pic of the camber plate? Cheers
