Hi all, just figured I’d stop lurking around here and introduce myself. Since I have no practical use for a car (I live in the center of Brussels and work from home), I went and bought 275 Trophy. That was after a trip to the ‘ring and rental Clio. I picked the Megane up in July 2015, and have enjoyed the hell out of it. I’ve managed just over 100 laps 'round the ‘ring and one Spa day since. Great car. I love it! All my lapping to this point has been in the stock car, save for the brake pads (PFC Z Rated). Like many of you on this forum, I was spinning 'round and 'round deciding to leave it alone or start down the slippery slop of modding. After much debate I’m on the slope now. In my possession, and soon to go on the car: KW Clubsports (Raeder kit) PFC 2 piece rotors Ferodo DS1.11 Braided lines RBF 660 18” OZ Ultraleggeras Still deciding on tires but I think I’ll go for the Yokohama AD08r. Raeder (@ the ‘ring) will be doing the setup. They obviously know their stuff. I think it’s been mentioned on this forum that they don’t use the standard Clubsport kit for Megane. I did not realize until today they actually have a kit which ships from KW with the label on the box reading “Raeder Edition”. Turns out that not only are they using heavier springs on the front, but the valving is also different. Not sure if I’ll do more with the car this year, but of course I’m thinking about more power. I’ll probably go the high flow (or de)cat, intercooler and map route. That seems to be the consensus around here on the place to start (and probably end!) I have the Akrapovic, and that’s staying on. Well that’s my story. Now that I've got that done, I’ll be posting some questions in the appropriate sections. I’ve got a few… Thanks to all of you that have contributed to this forum. It’s been a good source of information for me, and I’ve enjoyed. I’ll post some photos when all the bits are on (we all know what the stock car looks like!) But everyone likes photos, so here it is...
I still think you should just throw a cheeky tune in it! Plenty of gain for little cost. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
