Bearing noise

  1. Driving along at 25mph + I can hear a bearing noise and it gets louder the quicker I drive. Turning right it gets louder, but turning left it gets 90% quieter so it is the passenger side bearing.

This may be a stupid question, so if it is, my excuse - I'm female lol

I don't think it is the hub bearing as no creaking when turning wheels at stand still and the steering centres itself with no problem.

How can you tell if it's front or rear wheel bearing?

  2. Lift the wheels and feel for gruff feel or graunching when spinning, and don't take it as pass side because of it getting louder when you put load on it, ie turning right, a front wheel bearing goes quieter when you put load on it (it packs the bearing tighter thus quieting), and louder when the weight is taken off it.
