I did see them (or a set like them) a while ago, i do like them but i bought a set of team dynamics as they were 50% off, they do look good

  2. liking those......

  3. its tricky to know the quality..normally cheap wheels are cast badly,so require a massive strip of wheels weight.
Also how heavy per corner compared to standard r26 wheels..

  4. BBS CH wheels look excellent on so many cars. I guess two things would concern me about these; replicas can be heavy and of poor quality and also the offset stated is ET42. Standard offset is ET68, so you're looking at an extra 26mm of poke with these. I've got some ET50 track wheels for my R26 and they're very much flush with the arches, I'd expect ET42 wheels to sit out beyond the arches and look daft\scrub the arches when the suspension is compressed.

  5. hmm that is a concern..have pm`d him to see what he thinks..cheers for that mate.

  6. No worries pal. I'm still new to the world of meganes, but have a bit of experience experimenting with ill fitting wheels.

I believe the non renaultsport-meganes use a different suspensions setup to ours, and as such the wheels naturally sit more in board and can handle wheels with a smaller offset (et42 for example) . If the seller insists they'll fit, just make sure he's happy for you to test fit one and return them if they poke too much!

I am running team dynamics 1.2's with a et45 and they fit and don't rub anywhere, i also have a set of 1.3's with a et55 and 8.5 wide, they rub the coil overs on full lock, might try with 3mm spacers as i think that will be enough

  8. well..i had already ordered a similar set from the same make with unfortunately the same offset,so we will soon find out...his feedback with returns is good..but surely he must know about the large offset difference.

Also rather worryingly,i cant find this brand sold anywhere else ..hmmm..might have gone in to hasty here..will report back..he said I will have them Wednesday.

  9. Well @ianplymouth is running et45 fine, so you'll only have 3mm more poke than him. All may very well be OK and I've just been unnecessarily pessimistic!

  11. that last set on bunkers car is them, but in matt black..wonder why his offset is different, unless its a printing error?

would be nice to know his experience with them in regards to weight and quality..is he on here?

Just remember that fitment isn't all about offset, width plays a big part as well.

Also, I wouldnt be touching cheap copys of wheels but that's maybe just me, I dont understand why you would put a heavier wheel on

  13. bought them while I get my own refurbed..don't know if they are heavier yet,but will weigh them for comparison.
yes I know its a expensive way of doing it,but I have no time or place to mess around keeping the car up on axel stands.

Don't know about you guys, but I have buckled 3 R26 wheels over the years with minor sidewall hits,so they cant be all that great.

Or find a place that refurbs wheels same day, it's only like 180 here for a good quality finish [emoji23][emoji23]

  15. we
we are in the sticks here Jamie.Devon countryside..we don't have anyone who does anything like that round here..Exeter is the nearest, and that's over a hour away.

We have a reasonably local spray shop with a bake who will be doing them..but hes always very busy.

^^^^^ See to me both of those cars look wrong - looks like the wheels don't fit the car properly, they need to be in the arches more.

They are ADV1's, i spotted them for sale, i asked him to pick them up for me, he liked them and kept them, they were in a bit of a state, so he had them powder coated, i have driven that car quite a bit and they have never touched anywhere, he has tracked it and still didn't catch.
I did measure them and they were et45.
He is on here but not been on for a while as he has a lot going on at home and work.

  18. they arrived tday..will get a pic up later..need to get some scales to weigh them..anyone know the weight roughly of a standard r26 wheel??..I hear they are not exactly light themselves

  19. as long as they don't poke out,i will be happy.
look how many people on here add spacers to push the wheels out further...the R26 wheel sits miles in the arch as standard.

  20. Stock wheels are about 11kg I think. My wolf race pro lite track wheels are about 9kg each.
